DR. TAYLOR HESS FEATURED ON NEUROLOGYLIVE® DISCUSSING MS DIAGNOSIS, PATIENT CARE AND HOLISTIC TREATMENT

June 5, 2025

Dr. Taylor Hess, a multiple sclerosis specialist at MIND, was featured in Episode 142 of Mind Moments, a podcast from NeurologyLive®. The episode, titled “World MS Day: Raising Awareness, Evolving Care, and Empowering Patients,” explores how MS care continues to advance and why whole-person, timely treatment makes a difference.

“MS can be a scary diagnosis, but it’s important to remind patients that MS today isn’t what it was 25 years ago,” said Dr. Hess. “Treatments have come a long way, and many patients do very well.”

Echoing this year’s World MS Day theme, My MS Diagnosis, Dr. Hess discussed the significance of early intervention, the evolving diagnostic criteria, and the value of equitable, holistic care. She also highlighted emerging priorities in MS research—such as progressive MS, remyelination, symptom management, and the need to better address underrecognized symptoms like fatigue and cognitive changes.

Dr. Hess emphasized the importance of delivering a new MS diagnosis with empathy and clarity, ensuring patients feel supported and empowered from the beginning of their journey.
