About Us

Michigan Institute of Neurological Disorders

Michigan Institute for Neurological Disorders (MIND) provides comprehensive and compassionate diagnostic, therapeutic and supportive services to adult patients and their families affected with neurological conditions.

To improve outcomes and our patients’ quality of life, MIND is one of a very limited number of comprehensive private neurological facilities in the country dedicated to the betterment of our patients through the availability of onsite, cutting-edge neurodiagnostic and imaging technology and infusion services. Our doctors are also medical educators and actively involved as primary and sub-investigators in clinical research trials for various neurological disorders. This helps in carefully translating advances in medicine to patient care.

A Proud Legacy

Founded in 1969 by Louis E. Rentz and the late Fred Marshall as Glendale Neurological Associates, MIND has grown to be the largest and most comprehensive private neurological practice in Michigan. Doctors Rentz and Marshall established our practice, creating a foundation of excellence, innovation and dedication to patient care.

At a Single Medical Practice Grows

More than 50 years after our founding, MIND is the area’s leading provider of comprehensive neurological care for the full range of injuries and disorders of the central and peripheral nervous system. With state of the art technology and cutting edge resources onsite, MIND is a one-stop center for the diagnosis, treatment and management of neurological disorders.

We offer compassionate, comprehensive treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, movement disorders, epilepsy, head and facial pain, migraines and spinal disorders, and other neurological conditions ranging from the common to rare.

Dedicated to Total Patient Care

Neurological disease processes and conditions can be complex to diagnosis and offer many treatment challenges. In many cases, while a neurological condition cannot be cured, outcomes can be improved through prompt diagnosis and a care plan that takes a holistic approach, considering all aspects of a patient’s overall medical history and daily living. Our individualized treatment plans always consider important factors like lifestyle, sleep, exercise, diet and social support to improve patient outcomes.

MIND health care providers and staff work closely with each patient’s Primary Care Doctor and other health care providers, as well as their families and loved ones, to provide the best care possible.
